The RFX Pro series brake pedals are designed and tested at the highest level.

The Pro Series brake pedals are manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminum and feature an OEM-style forged shaft, with the smooth shaft finish helping to reduce wear associated with the ribbed construction.

The Pro Series flexible tips are CNC machined from billet aluminum and feature a spring-loaded swivel tip that pivots when hit, such as in a rut, to reduce damage. The tip is also equipped with steel teeth to aid traction in muddy conditions.

The Pro Series flexible tips also include a rotating tip stop that stops the tip at 90 degrees of rotation, preventing damage that could occur if the tip rotates under the coupling cover.

The Pro Series brake pedals also include a cable brake snake that helps prevent the pedal shaft from bending in a collision.

Installation instructions:

• Start by noting where the height of the pedal tip is in relation to the footrest.
• Remove the R-clamp or cotter pin from the back of the brake bolt located behind the frame.
• Remove the pivot bolt that holds the pedal to the frame.
• Remove the return spring from the pedal and let it hang.
• Rotate the pedal outward to expose the split pin at the back of the pedal clamp.
• Remove this split pin and the retaining dowel, and the rear brake pedal will now be removed.
• Remove the oil seals from the old pedal, clean them, and reinstall them on the new pedal.
• Clean all parts with a multi-purpose lubricant, such as Maxima MPPL, and prepare them for reassembly.
• Reinstall the brake clip, locating pin, and split pin.
• Reinstall the return spring.
• Apply a little Maxima waterproof lubricant to the hinge bolt, align the hinge hole and reinstall the bolt.
• Tighten the hinge bolt to the required torque according to the operating instructions.
• Reinstall the R-clip/split pin into the rear of the pivot bolt.
• Once the pedal is installed, adjust the pedal height to the correct position and free play by loosening the nut above the pivot joint and turning the piston bolt in or out as needed.
• Now install the brake hose.
• Japanese Models - Remove the nut and washer on the lower engine mount, replace the old washer with the new washer that is attached to the brake caliper.
• KTM Models - Remove the new washer that is attached to the brake caliper, set it aside as it is not needed for the KTM, wrap the cable around the lower engine mount and place it inside the brace.
• Adjust the correct brake hose tension, remembering to allow for the pedal to extend downward.
• Crimp the fitting using pliers and cut off the excess rope.
