Motocross boots ALPINESTARS TECH 10 BLACK/RED

  • The Tech 10 has set the standard for performance and protection in motocross boots for over a decade, and in the summer of 2018, the completely redesigned Tech 10 boots take things even further.
  • Perfection through innovation; while retaining the iconic look of the Tech 10, the new shoe represents a completely new approach - improving its ability to provide the rider with the best feel, comfort and safety.
  • The redesigned Tech 10 is driven by three priorities as Alpinestars' technical footwear development team strives to improve overall functionality, performance and safety, while reducing weight and material bulk.
  • Maximizing these priorities is the main achievement of the new Tech 10 and the result is an entirely new shoe with greater range of motion and flexibility, while offering better control over bending and twisting forces that significantly improve the shoe's performance, giving the athlete greater confidence and protection.
  • The continued development of the Tech 10 has been driven by three key priorities as Alpinestars’ technical footwear team strives to improve overall functionality, performance and safety, while reducing the weight and bulk of the boot’s material. Maximizing these priorities is the key achievement of the latest Tech 10, and the result is a significantly greater range of motion and flexibility, while offering better control over bending and twisting forces, significantly improving the boot’s performance, giving the rider greater confidence and protection.
  • Composite materials are created that are lighter and more durable to withstand the harsh conditions of off-road riding. New, cold-forged aluminum buckles are not only easier to use and more durable, but also provide a self-leveling closure that offers a secure grip on the upper surface of the boot.
  • This evolution has resulted in an impressive weight reduction of over 400 grams.
  • The Tech 10’s unique, lightweight, one-piece foot chassis incorporates the patented Dynamic Heel Compression Protector (DHCP), an innovative safety feature that includes a fully integrated, foldable heel area with expanded polyurethane foam to absorb the energy of high-impact impacts in a collision. The DHCP features a directional impact protection system that significantly reduces the effects of excessive, potentially injurious energy being transferred to the ankle and lower leg. The DHCP is used by Alpinestars racers in the demanding conditions of professional Supercross and Motocross.
  • The biomechanical inner ankle pad features lighter, anatomically designed medial and lateral torsion arms that are compact and offer greater range of motion and control.
  • Combined with the outer construction of the boot, the ankle pad provides vertical and lateral protection from compression and rotation of the ankle and foot, as well as progressive cushioning of torsional forces in the event of an accident, while allowing natural freedom of movement.
  • The dual-pivot system allows the Tech 10 to maintain its integrity when flexing, eliminating the need for alternative torsion bars for different ankle widths and, crucially, providing the necessary progressive resistance to rotational and vertical forces that could otherwise damage the ankles, knees, upper legs and pelvis if not stopped in a controlled manner.
