• Specially developed for racing, track and road use, the FIM-homologated Tech-Air® 7x system is derived from Alpinestars' proven MotoGP airbag technology. The fully autonomous, stand-alone motorcycle Airbag system is designed for racing, offering riders streamlined, low-profile and highly ventilated Tech-Air® protection. Developed for performance/recreational motorcycling, the Tech-Air® 7x system provides riders with full upper body protection covering the shoulders, chest and entire back. The integrated back protector has been extended in length for additional coccyx protection. The Tech-Air® 7x system can be used as a standalone system or as an integrated system in a compatible suit or jacket. The system is designed to function for closed track racing as well as road riding and light off-road riding.
• The state-of-the-art Tech-Air® 7x wearable system is equipped with an active electronic system that includes twelve integrated sensors: 3 triaxial accelerometers (1 located on the rear protector and 2 located on the shoulders) and 1 triaxial gyroscope (located in the rear protector) . These sensors monitor the rider's body for jolts or unexpected movements. Developed as a result of years of research in collaboration with over 50% of the world's leading MotoGP riders and Alpinestars customers who ride with Tech-Air® systems, our team analyzes riding data obtained from millions of kilometers and thousands of crashes to improve the system's continuously intelligent crash detection algorithms. Upon identifying a crash situation that occurs when the driver's body is subjected to a large and/or sudden amount of energy, the algorithm will trigger the safety airbag, providing unmatched protection to the driver or passenger wearing the System (with a maximum inflation time of 44 ms, depending on the volume of the airbag size). Shock absorption when wearing an Airbag when inflated results in a reduction in impact force of up to 90% compared to a CE level 1 passive protector.
• The Tech-Air® 7x ECU is housed in a robust shell and protected by seals in the vest to ensure operation in all weather conditions; the vest and components are certified to function in temperatures between -10⁰C and 50⁰C.
• The front cover is equipped with an integrated charging port for convenient and easy system charging - just plug the USB-C cable into the front cover and connect it to a power source. The charging port is always accessible, even when the System is integrated into an Alpinestars leather suit or jacket.
