• Tech-Air® 3 is a fully autonomous active airbag system and requires no external connections or sensors on the motorcycle for the system to operate.
• - Tech-Air® 3 includes 6 built-in sensors (3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope )) to ensure the best collision monitoring performance in various dynamic driving situations and even when braking.
• - The Tech-Air® 3 airbag system activates automatically via the magnetic zipper closure.
• - The packaged design of the System allows it to be easily stored in a backpack or under the bike seat when not in use.
• - Also available in a women's Stella version, complete with an ergonomically designed and women's optimized fit.
• - Tech-Air® 3 is designed with a diagonal zipper to provide full coverage across the front of the chest while hiding the internal airbag. The magnetic zipper is designed for ease of use and to provide a secure closure system for the garment with an air cushion.
• - LED display on the front of the chest shows the operating status of the airbag. The LED display also includes a tactile alert that vibrates to confirm the system is engaged and alerts the driver when the battery is low.
• - The Tech-Air® 3 incorporates Alpinestars' compact Pro 2nd Generation Electronic Control Unit (ECU), which can be found in the ECU pocket located on the upper back of the Tech-Air® 3 inner vest.
• - Connecting to the Tech-Air® app via Bluetooth low energy (BLE 5.0) allows riders to monitor system operational status, battery status, and provide a detailed map of rider trips via MyRide.
• - The system's updatable software is accessible through the Tech-Air® App, where riders can quickly check the installed software version and possibly perform the latest software updates.
• - Tech-Air® 3 uses a built-in, certified lithium-ion battery, with a battery life of 40 hours and a recharge time of approximately 4 hours.
• - The gas inflator, which provides the inflator gas to deploy the airbag, is located in the inflator housing on the left side of the rider's lower back.
• - Tech-Air® 3 ECU seal protection ensures all-weather performance and is certified to operate in temperatures between -20 ⁰C and +40 ⁰C.
• - The gas supercharger housing, electronic wiring and airbag are easily removed.
• - Gas inflator ducts can be replaced by selected Alpinestars dealers and certified Tech-Air service centers.
• - The vest is washable.
• - The electronic unit is tested and CE certified in accordance with various electronic, radio and electrical safety regulations.
• - The gas inflator cartridge is certified with a CE certificate in accordance with UNI EN 16263, which confirms compliance with the safety standard and certifies that the cartridges can be used and serviced safely.
