If you don't carry a passenger, hanging the exhaust is a great way to finish off and replace the rear running boards.

It doesn't look good to remove only one step and leave the other because you need it to mount the exhaust.

The exhaust hanger completely replaces the step and provides you with a sturdy and stylish place to mount the exhaust.

You can also buy a kit (not available for all motorcycles) that includes a cover plate for the footrest on the other side to cover the bolt holes left after removing the footrest.
