• The shell construction is optimized for the best fit across the size range and is optimized for lightness while providing the best possible protection.
• The liner construction is combined with the shell and is molded with a very high density EPS polymer that provides the helmet with excellent shock absorption.
• Energy absorption performance is enhanced by the four-section construction, which has a specific polymer density in the different areas of the liner.
• The helmet features a patented system allowing precise adjustment of the angle and height at which it sits on the rider's head.
• A micro-adjustable pad connected to the inner shell allows the helmet to be raised or lowered, as well as tilting the helmet forward or backward.
• The helmet has a unique patented visor release system that ensures it can be safely removed in the event of a significant impact, regardless of the angle.
• The base of the helmet is sculpted to have a relief where the lower profile is raised to avoid the collarbone. Also, in the area of the base pad where it sits above the rider's collarbone, an energy absorbing pad is built in; a more flexible rubber section that allows for deformation upon contact with the clavicle.
• The chin guard is molded with polypropylene which allows for a degree of lateral deflection which further improves impact protection of the clavicle.
• The helmet incorporates a MIPS system that reduces the energy of rotational motion directed at the brain during a crash, further reducing the likelihood of brain damage.
• Post-crash safety features include an Emergency Release System (ERS) side cheek pad that can be removed while the helmet is still on the rider's head for easy removal. Also, the crown of the helmet can be equipped with an "Eject" inflation system that allows the helmet to be removed without straining the rider's spine.
• The chinstrap is made of woven polyethylene yarn and is wider than the certification requirements (26mm), connecting securely using a double D-ring.
• The helmet has good ventilation thanks to the design of the visor, which creates a positive airflow in the helmet and exhaust vents.
• The weight of the S-M8 is 1300g for size Medium (ECE) - 1360g for size Medium (DOT)
