RFX Pro Series Two-Piece Motorcycle Grips - Black
RFX grips are made from high-quality Kraton synthetic polymer and feature the vibration-reducing and grip-enhancing benefits of natural rubber, but are resistant to damage caused by sunlight and chemicals found in natural rubber.
They feature a dual-density design that allows for the use of an outer 60 SA compound that is more durable and resistant to crash damage. Yet there is a soft central grip zone with a 25 SA compound for the best vibration resistance and comfort available.
RFX grips utilize the industry standard half-waffle design with a flat RFX logo on the palm, this upper diamond and lower waffle design provides the best combination of palm comfort and bottom grip for muddy conditions.
- It is made of high-quality Kraton synthetic polymer for maximum sticky grip.
- The two-mix tool design allows for the best combination of mixtures.
- The 25 SA central compound improves comfort and reduces vibrations.
- The final blend of 60 SA improves resistance to collision damage.
- The Half Waffle design provides the best combination of traction and comfort.
- The smooth diamond pattern and RFX-level logo on the palm area offer excellent grip without sacrificing comfort or causing blisters.
- Waffle design in the toe area provides the best available traction in muddy conditions
- Available in 26 color combinations.
- Packed in pairs for use with right-handed machines with rotary throttle.
Remove the old handles.
Clean the throttle rod and tube to remove old adhesive using a spray solvent (e.g. Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner).
Coat the ends of the throttle tube and plate with a small amount of RFX bonding adhesive (avoid using too much as it will run and make a mess or worse - cause the throttle to malfunction).
Slide the handle into place on the bar, lifting the edge to prevent air trapping, and rotate it around the bar to help distribute the adhesive evenly.
Place the handle in the correct position, with the RFX logo at the end at ground level.
If necessary, insert a safety rope. Wind the wire twice evenly along the entire length of the handle in the two end grooves, and if necessary, in two even grooves in the center.
Wrap the wire together using RFX wire pliers to tighten the handle securely.
Cut the ends of the wire about 4 mm long and bend them into the handle, tapping with a hammer if necessary to secure.
Allow the glue to dry for at least 8 hours before use.
Check that no glue has gotten into the throttle area, making sure the throttle is retracted properly before use.
Place RFX Donuts if necessary to prevent blistering, and you're ready to go.
Be careful not to damage the surface of the grills when installing them, and do not use sharp objects or tools to clean them.
Wash them using a sponge and soapy water and rinse using a hose or low-pressure water jet.
Avoid directing the jet wash towards the sealing lip to prevent the handle from loosening.
After washing, avoid spraying chemicals, such as contact cleaners, on the handles as they can damage the material.
Check that the handles have not broken after a fall, as this can cause dirt to enter the throttle body, and replace them if necessary.
