RFX Pro TC 65 Gas Console (Black)

The RFX Pro series throttle tubes are machined from billet aluminium and feature a sealed bearing and Teflon bushing to ensure smooth throttle action. The RFX Pro series tubes are resistant to crash damage, unlike standard plastic tubes. For these reasons they are used by many of the top racing teams and riders in the British Championship, such as STR KTM.

Installation instructions:

• Slide the rubber boot down and disassemble the throttle body, remove the old throttle tube, being careful not to damage the throttle cables.
• If necessary, carefully remove the handle from the old throttle tube.
• Check the cables and housing for excessive damage or wear, clean and lubricate or replace if necessary.
• Clean the handlebar and check for damage where the old throttle tube rotated on the handlebar, if there is any roughness, replace the handlebar.
• Slide the new throttle tube onto the handlebar and lubricate it with a penetrating lubricant, preferably Maxima MPPL (do not use grease as it attracts dirt and causes the throttle to stick after a short period of time).
• Reassemble the throttle cables and housing using penetrating lubricant.
• Tighten the throttle body in the correct position on the handlebar.
• Adjust the cable to the desired amount of free play for your preference.
• Turn the handlebar to its maximum position to check the proper operation of the throttle and the correct routing of the cable, some cable readjustment may be necessary.
• Slide the rubber boot back onto the housing.
• Cover the hole at the end of the handle with tape (to prevent glue from getting into the throttle body) and apply a small amount of RFX Handle Glue to the outer end of the throttle tube along the outer diameter.
• Apply a small amount of RFX Grip Glue to the inside of the new grip and place it on the tube.
• Rotate the handle to the correct position and let it dry.
• If necessary, apply RFX handle safety wire.
• After the glue dries, recheck the proper functioning of the throttle.
