• The Tech 10's redesigned design is guided by three priorities, as the Alpinestars technical footwear development team strives to improve overall functionality, performance and safety, and reduce material weight and bulk.
• Maximizing these priorities is the main achievement of the new Tech 10 and the result is an all-new shoe with greater range of motion and flexibility, while offering better control over bending and twisting forces that significantly improve the shoe's performance, giving the competitor more confidence and protection.
• Improved functionality, performance and safety:
• The comfort of the Tech 10 is legendary and is a key feature that makes the shoe a pleasure to wear in all conditions. The main goal was to preserve the feel of the boot while improving its performance, functionality and safety.
• The most significant improvements in the performance of the Tech 10 are the unique technologies: the frontal flex control frame, the asymmetric double-rotation arms, the patented dynamic compression protection shock absorber in the heel, which is integrated into the redesigned foot shell, and the thinner, more streamlined sole.
• Reduced weight:
• Tech 10 is lighter, which is the result of researching all the components of the shoe and their connections - how the shoe is put together. To reduce volume and weight, reworking of each of these components has been undertaken.
• New composite materials have been created that are lighter and more durable to ensure they will withstand the rigors of off-road riding. The new, cold-forged, aluminum buckles result in an easier-to-manage, more durable and self-adjusting closure that offers a positive grip on the shoe's upper surfaces.
• The result has reduced the weight of the new Tech 10 by over 400 grams (almost 1 pound).
• Reduced material volume
• The design also reduces the profile and physical size of the Tech 10 shoe. It is more streamlined with newer, lighter and more durable composite materials and a more integrated approach to component construction that dynamically enhances the shoe's chassis and utilizes more modern bonding processes.
