• The result of over 10 years of intensive research, development and testing, the Supertech helmet family aims to create the most advanced, protective and performance-enhancing helmets possible for racers and motorcyclists around the world. After years of extensive research, development and testing, the Supertech R10 road racing helmet was developed by Alpinestars’ Helmet Product Development department, in collaboration with MotoGP legend Andrea Dovizioso and MotoGP riders Jorge Martin and Jack Miller.
• CARBON SHELL CONSTRUCTION MULTILAYER COMPOSITE DISSIPATES ENERGY DURING IMPACTS
• Homologated to ECE 22.06, DOT and FIM standards, the Supertech R10 shell construction uses highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination, including an outer side layer of high-density 3K carbon, a unidirectional carbon composite layer, an aramid fiber layer and a fiberglass layer.
• To help overcome and mitigate the rotational, oblique and linear forces of an impact, Alpinestars has designed a low-friction surface on the inner surface of the EPS liner. The inner surface is polished to be incredibly smooth, and then specially coated to further reduce friction, allowing the comfort liner to move relative to the EPS. The result is increased control of rotational, oblique and linear forces, allowing the rider’s head to move independently inside the helmet or vice versa, which can significantly reduce the force transmitted to the head, neck, brain and spine from an oblique impact, while also reducing the possibility of concussion. In summary, the specific rotational impact protection is provided by the combination of the internal shape and specific coating of the EPS liner, combined with the specially designed surface in the comfort liner. This patented technology reduces the rotational acceleration transmitted to the rider’s head.
