• The redesigned Tech 10 is driven by three priorities as Alpinestars' technical footwear development team strives to improve overall functionality, performance and safety, while reducing weight and material bulk.
• Maximizing these priorities is the main achievement of the new Tech 10 and the result is an entirely new shoe with greater range of motion and flexibility, while offering better control over bending and twisting forces that significantly improve the shoe's performance, giving the athlete greater confidence and protection.
• Improved functionality, performance and safety:
• The comfort of the Tech 10 is legendary and is a key feature that makes the boot enjoyable to wear in all conditions. The main goal was to maintain the feel of the boot while improving its performance, functionality and safety.
• The most significant improvements in the Tech 10's performance are its unique technologies: the frontal flex control frame, the asymmetric double-pivot arms, the patented dynamic compression shock absorber at the heel, which is integrated into the redesigned foot shell, and the thinner, more streamlined sole.
• Reduced weight:
• The Tech 10 is lighter, which is the result of studying all the components of the shoe and their connections - how the shoe is put together. In order to reduce volume and weight, each of these components has been redesigned.
• New composite materials have been created that are lighter and more durable to ensure they can withstand the rigors of off-road riding. New, cold-forged, aluminum buckles result in easier-to-manage, more durable, self-adjusting closures that offer a positive grip on the upper surfaces of the shoe.
• The result has been a weight reduction of over 400 grams (almost 1 pound) for the new Tech 10.
• Reduced material volume
• The design also reduces the profile and physical size of the Tech 10 shoe. It is more streamlined with newer, lighter and more durable composite materials and a more integrated approach to component construction that dynamically improves the shoe's chassis and utilizes more advanced bonding processes.
